About TEDx University of Piraeus
TEDx University of Piraeus is an independently organized event by the students of University of Piraeus. TEDx is an open source community of events that inspire innovation, thought leadership, and visionary insights. Each TEDx event is organized by extraordinary individuals. Each TEDx event has its own name and organizational team, unrelated to each other. They do, however, all follow guidelines for content and formatting established by TED. These individuals are not hosting TEDx events for political reasons, monetary reward or personal gains. Rather, they are doing this because they truly believe in the power of ideas to change the world.
The 4th TEDx University of Piraeus and its “Spectrum” of ideas, has the incredible honor to be hosted at one of the most prestigious and historic ships, the floating museum “Hellas Liberty”. The doors will open to the public on May the 14th, 2016 (Exit E2 of Piraeus Port). This year’s theme will be “Spectrum”. Through many ideas and different perspectives the students will try to render the colors of life and sometimes even different shades of one color only. Their goal is to find out what “Spectrum” means for everyone and how many different colors and shades life may take. Good and bad, beautiful and ugly, easy and hard, it’s just colors and shades of the same “Spectrum”.

INSB Class, building upon its initial endorsement and embrace to TEDx, continues to endorse TEDx events and this year - as the Exclusive Maritime Donor - will be there exhibiting and actively support the organization of the TEDx University of Piraeus – an event for the constructive exchange of innovative ideas.

Τι είναι το TEDxUniversity of Piraeus
Το TEDxUniversity of Piraeus είναι μια ανεξάρτητη διοργάνωση από φοιτητές του Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιά. Η οργανωτική ομάδα απαρτίζεται από ενεργούς και με υψηλές φιλοδοξίες νέους που έχουν σκοπό να μεταδώσουν την κεντρική ιδέα του TED «Ιδέες που αξίζει να διαδωθούν». Kάθε διοργάνωση TEDx έχει δικό της όνομα και οργανωτική ομάδα, που δεν συνδέονται μεταξύ τους. Στη πραγματικότητα όμως όλοι ακολουθούν τις ίδιες κατευθυντήριες γραμμές για το περιεχόμενο και τη μορφή του TED. Η διοργάνωση είναι πάνω και πέρα από πολιτικούς σκοπούς, οικονομικά ή προσωπικά οφέλη και έχει να κάνει με όσους πραγματικά πιστεύουν ότι η δύναμη της ιδέας μπορεί να αλλάξει τον κόσμο.
Το 4o TEDxUniversity of Piraeus θα πραγματοποιηθεί σε μια αρκετά ξεχωριστή και πρωτοποριακή τοποθεσία, στο πλωτό μουσείο “Hellas Liberty” και θα ανοίξει τις πύλες του στις 14 Μαΐου 2016 (Πύλη E2 στο Λιμάνι του Πειραιά). Η φετινή θεματική του TEDxUniversity of Piraeus θα είναι το “Spectrum” ή αλλιώς “το φάσμα”. Μέσα από ιδέες και διαφορετικές οπτικές γωνίες οι φοιτητές θα προσπαθήσουν να αποδώσουν τα χρώματα της ζωής και μερικές φορές ακόμα και τις διαφορετικές αποχρώσεις ενός μόνο χρώματος. Στόχος τους είναι, ο καθένας να βρει τι σημαίνει για αυτόν το “Spectrum” και πόσα διαφορετικά χρώματα και αποχρώσεις μπορεί να πάρει η ζωή του. Το καλό και το κακό, το όμορφο και το άσχημο, το εύκολο και το δύσκολο είναι απλά χρώματα και αποχρώσεις του ίδιου “Spectrum”.
