Supporting the safe and compliant continuity of ship operations for our certified fleet, remains of high importance to us all.

- on-premise personnel hygiene measures - weekly decontaminations on working and residing spaces,
- reduced number of manpower at office premises while all other personnel work from home
- increased use of video call conferences instead of attending physical meetings,
- uninterrupted email and telephone centre monitoring and response even during weekends,
- close monitoring of guidance issued by the Greek Health Authorities and the World Health Organization daily reports.
All together, INSB Class Head office, network stations and surveyors, stay available on 24/7 basis to assist and offer expert advice and guidance for all our clients, irrespective to their location or time zone.

For such cases, INSB Class head office is to be promptly contacted for getting guidance and further instructions.
In justified cases and in coordination with the delegating flag state(s), “force majeure” postponement on scheduled surveys or limited time extension for ship’s certification coming to expiry, could possibly be authorized.

Many of the Flag States have published relevant maritime safety circulars concerning the COVID-19 and related measures and we have been getting updated on relevant provisions promptly and effectively.
Also, the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has made available a guidance document to ship operators for the protection of the health of seafarers.
Last but far from least, INSB Class officials, members and staff wishes to take this instance and express its gratitude towards all doctors, medical personnel and related private or governmental Medical Authorities around the globe for their tireless efforts in the fight against COVID-19 as well as our most sincere words of comfort and encouragement to those who have been affected by the Coronavirus infection, either be in Greece or abroad.
