Inspected offshore assets and floating installations are classified according to the INSB Class pertinent Rules, which denote the acceptable degree of construction, stability and safety.
The Rules also consider provisions of other recognized standards, such as the IACS URs concerning MODU units, the IMO MODU Code, API RP, AISCASD, for the purpose of verification of the unit’s sound structure and fit-for purpose condition.
Apart from the classification survey, INSB Class performs the applicable statutory surveys with the aim to verify asset’s compliance with the applicable statutory Instruments including the IMO Code for the Construction and Equipment of Mobile Offshore Drilling Units, (MODU code), MARPOL, ITC69 as well as pertinent Flag State national requirements.
