The International Merchant Marine Registry of Belize (IMMARBE) with the aim to minimize the number of detentions in all MOUs, would like to provide Owners, Operators and Masters with key information that can be used as a tool to prevent deficiencies and/or detentions.

In above respect IMMARBE has updated the Self Inspection Checklist (together with the Crew List to be used –FAL Form 5– (See our related Circular No. ISM No. 37-23 “IMMARBE SEAFARERS DEPARTMENT IMO FAL FORM 5 (Crew List) Standardization)) which should be used for the monthly reporting.

All vessels found with seven (7) or more PSC deficiencies will be included in a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) for non compliant ships. Vessels included in the PIP should report the Self Inspection Checklist twice a month.

Please find attached the updated Self-Inspection Checklist which supersedes TDL-018r3.
